HELPFUL DOCS

MBIE EMERGENCY ALLOCATION GUIDELINES

We have recently obtained under the Official Information Act (OIA) a copy of the guidelines used by MBIE when assessing emergency allocations. We know it is difficult and stressful applying for an emergency allocation, so we wanted to make this publicly available for everyone to read and use to help with the process.

Grounded Kiwis Docs

The New Zealand Government is requiring Kiwis to enter a lottery to enter New Zealand.

After the first 'virtual lobby' we carried out a survey of those who had used the new system, with 902 respondents sharing their experiences.

In October 2021, we submitted to a Select Committee on the COVID-19 Response (Management Measures) Legislation Bill

In August 2021 we wrote an open letter to the Government. They did not respond.

Download a series of six images to share on your social media to spread the word about the need to #fixMIQ. These come in two configurations:

1) vertical images to share as 'stories' on social media

2) square images to share as regular posts on social media

Complain to MBIE

You can complain to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) - the department running MIQ - about the MIQ system. If you are not happy with the response, you can then complain to the Ombudsman. The Ombudsman has already launched multiple investigations into MIQ, but the more noise we make the better.
